Sky Gem Hotel Sora

We honestly liked everything about the property. It was one of the best stays we’ve ever had. The Japan theme throughout the hotel was serene and calming. The service was 10/10 - staff were attentive to our needs, responded fast to our booking.com messages, and always greeted us with a smile. Breakfast buffet was well-varied, accomodating for most people. The gym was also a nice addition to facilities! Location was convenient, being a close walk to all the Japanese restaurants, department store and convenience stores!

From the outside, the hotel has a bit of a nature-inspired look, but inside, it’s modern and neatly arranged. I loved the way they decorated the back wall behind the reception. The bellman noticed I had a lot of luggage and helped carry it up very thoughtful. My room was clean and had all the essentials.

Heads up: there’s no pool or spa. This isn’t a resort-style hotel. But if you want a stylish, clean room in the middle of the city with friendly staff totally worth it.

I couldn’t find the spa and was told the hotel doesn’t offer this service. Hopefully, they’ll add one in the future. That said, there are several spas nearby I tried the one next to the hotel and it was good. Besides the lack of a spa and pool, everything else was great.

What I really liked was how new the hotel felt compared to other places in the area. Housekeeping was thorough fresh towels every day. My Superior room had a small window facing an airwell, so there was just enough natural light to keep the room from feeling stuffy.
